Jack Lyons, Co-Owner
Jack brings a strong technical background shaped by over 20 years of experience in both commercial construction and residential restoration. This blend of large-scale project knowledge and hands-on fieldwork gives him a unique perspective when evaluating property damage and planning effective solutions. Jack is a Certified Mold Inspector and holds a Water Restoration Technician (WRT) certification through the IICRC. He is also a Certified Mold Remediation Contractor (CMRC) and holds EPA Lead Paint Renovator and Lead Safe credentials. Jack is particularly skilled at identifying hidden moisture issues that can contribute to mold growth, using moisture meters, thermal imaging and detailed visual assessment to help locate conditions that may otherwise go unnoticed. His keen eye during inspections and assessments helps identify moisture patterns, potential sources of water intrusion and other conditions that may be contributing to mold growth. He is closely involved in evaluating findings, developing the appropriate scope of work and reviewing projects as needed. This involvement gives customers direct access to an owner throughout the project and helps ensure the work is completed thoroughly and according to the agreed scope.

Michael Slevin, Co-Owner
Michael brings over a decade of hands-on experience in restoration, remediation, and general construction. His background includes leadership roles overseeing mold remediation, water damage mitigation, biohazard cleanup, and property rehabilitation, with a strong focus on precision, safety, and client satisfaction. Prior to co-founding Safer Home Services, Michael served as Director of Operations for a regional restoration company, managing multiple crews and subcontractors while staying actively involved in fieldwork. He is certified in mold remediation and inspection, water damage mitigation, and EPA lead-safe practices. Michael is especially known for his meticulous approach to inspections. Rather than stopping at the most visible signs of mold or water damage, he methodically evaluates the surrounding conditions, using moisture readings, thermal imaging, visual evidence and his construction background to determine where moisture is originating and how far a problem may extend. Small details—changes in materials, staining, deterioration, moisture patterns or conditions that simply do not look right—often lead him to hidden areas of concern that could otherwise be overlooked. His ability to connect those clues helps define the source of the problem and the appropriate scope of remediation or restoration before work begins. With a proven record of transparent communication and meticulous project oversight, Michael brings that same level of attention to the work performed by our crews, helping ensure the scope is followed and the underlying problem is properly addressed.
